As long as you are in the WIC program, we will meet with you to celebrate the steps in your child's growth and learning. Individuals who apply early in their pregnancy are more likely to have a healthy baby. Children who stay on WIC until the age of five, are better prepared and more likely to succeed in school.

WIC benefits provide you and your child with:

  • One-on-one nutrition counseling
  • Nutritious foods from vendors and farmer’s markets
  • Health and social service referrals
  • Breastfeeding support

Am I eligible?

Rhode Islanders that are pregnant, breastfeeding, or post-partum (up to 6 months, regardless of birth outcome), and/or have a child up to age 5 may participate in the WIC program if they meet our eligibility guidelines.
