Fresh Air Providence

We can help you

Understand your indoor and or outdoor air quality in your home or neighborhood

How it works

RIACP employees mount PurpleAir sensors to measure particulate matter in indoor and outdoor residential and public spaces. For households who have a child or adult with asthma, RIACP also provides a free air cleaner for their use.

Who do we serve

We currently serve households within the 02905, 02907, and 02909 ZIP codes. Households must have a person with diagnosed asthma living in the home to participate.

Background

Fresh Air Providence is an initiative by the Asthma Control Program to better understand the air quality in areas of Rhode Island with elevated asthma burden. The burden of asthma in Rhode Island is concentrated in communities with fewer resources available to them to help them live a healthy life. Some of these areas, called asthma hotspots, lie within the 02905, 02907, and 02909 ZIP codes.
