To prepare for the human health effects related to climate change and create a healthy, sustainable, and resilient future for all Rhode Islanders.
What we do
- Educate the public to raise awareness about the connection between climate change and health.
- Work with community partners/agencies to develop a unified and equitable adaptation plan.
- Advocate for policy and behavioral changes that reduce/prevent emission of greenhouse gases.
- Focus on holistic solutions, community cohesiveness, and equity.
- Coordinate with local, state, and regional partners to leverage efforts to mitigate public health impacts.
- Offer a variety of programs to mitigate public health impacts among vulnerable populations.
