Breast cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in Rhode Island, accounting for approximately 13% of new cancer cases annually and 7% of cancer deaths. Click here for CDC information on breast cancer.

What You Should Do

• Get screened for breast cancer. Talk with your doctor about when to have a mammogram.
• Know the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. 
• Learn about the risk factors for breast cancer. 

What We Are Doing

The Rhode Island Department of Health Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program can help cover the cost of breast screening for program-eligible individuals.
