About RIDOH Academic Institute

The RIDOH Academic Institute was created in 2015 to achieve the mission and vision by enhancing RIDOH’s efforts to establish and facilitate partnerships and collaborations with academic and research colleagues across the state, and build upon internal and external partnerships and synergy to establish the RIDOH Culture of Learning at the department. RIDOH has been an accredited public health department by the Public Health Accreditation Board since 2015.

TRAIN Learning Management System

As a healthcare professional, you have likely experienced difficulty in finding easily accessible and cost-effective continuing education or professional development opportunities at some point in your career. The RIDOH Academic Institute is addressing this problem by supporting a “one-stop-shop” for your continuing education and professional development needs. We have been working with our partners to add their educational opportunities to TRAIN, an online learning management system that provides health-related trainings in various forms, many for credit and often at no cost. TRAIN will help to manage your credits and certificates and allow you to access opportunities from all over Rhode Island, and nationwide.

Navigate to TRAIN for your continuing education needs and make a free account to access hundreds of for-credit, not-for-credit, and continuing education opportunities.
