The Rhode Island Department of Health's (RIDOH) Healthy Eating and Active Living Program (HEAL) invites applications from eligible organizations and agencies to apply for a Short-Term Funding Opportunity to implement a Rhode Island Streets Transformation Project (RISTP) that showcases the benefits of community design to promote physical activity and active transportation for Rhode Islanders of all ages. RIDCH will issues awards up to $4,950 each. Eligible applicants must have an existing infrastructure with the capacity to support implementation of a demonstrable project affiliated with, or a part of, a non-profit, community-based agency, coalition, and/or grassroots organization that has a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) or a Federal Tax Identification Number. Applications should be submitted by no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 15, 2026 to: Ishaa Gadkari at Ishaa.Gadkari@health.ri.gov . The deadline for the submission of questions is 5:00 p.m. on February 6, 2026. Questions should be submitted in writing to Ishaa Gadkari at Ishaa.Gadkari@health.ri.gov with "RISTP Question" in the subject line. At the conclusion of the Q & A period, all questions and official answers will be posted as an addendum on the RIDOH website.
