Early Childhood

The first five years are a critical period of a child’s life. The events that occur during early childhood set the stage for future development. The quality of a child’s early relationships and environments has a profound impact on whether children develop vulnerability or resiliency that will impact the rest of their lives.

What We Do

  • Support positive early childhood development and school readiness by strengthening community capacity for quality early care and education.
  • Use community partnerships to connect families and communities with the information and health resources they need to develop healthy, educated children.
