Purpose

To provide ongoing surveillance on the burden and distribution of high cholesterol in Rhode Island.

Key Information

Adults who do not know their cholesterol status, have never been tested, or have not been tested in the past 5 years may be at risk for undiagnosed high cholesterol.

  • Additionally, 16.3% of RI adults (144,317 people) do not know their cholesterol status, have never been tested, or have not been tested in the past 5 years and may be at risk for undiagnosed high cholesterol.
