Mission

To control the person-to-person spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

What we do

  • Monitor reportable infectious diseases by identifying newly diagnosed cases, and Analyzing trends in newly diagnosed cases.
  • Manage cases by locating people who have been exposed to sexually transmitted diseases, and contacting them and refer them to screening services.
  • Control disease outbreaks by planning public health responses to outbreaks of sexually transmitted diseases.
