What we do
- Collect and analyze water samples from beaches throughout Rhode Island from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
- Assign a monitoring schedule to each beach based on risk to help protect public health. (RIDOH may increase sampling frequency when necessary.)
- Help beach owners and managers find and eliminate sources of contamination.
- Track and investigate illness reported at Rhode Island beaches.
