The Lead Worker course trains individuals to safely perform lead hazard reduction (abatement) activities in residential and child-occupied facilities in Rhode Island under the supervision of a licensed Lead Contractor. Instruction includes lead health effects, applicable regulations, worker protection, personal protective equipment, site preparation, containment, abatement methods, waste handling, and post-abatement cleaning. Successful completion qualifies participants to apply for a Rhode Island Lead Worker license.
