The Lead Contractor course prepares individuals to plan, manage, and oversee lead hazard reduction projects in Rhode Island. The course covers regulatory compliance, project design and sequencing, worker supervision, occupant protection, air monitoring concepts, waste management, recordkeeping, and contractor responsibilities. Emphasis is placed on compliance with Rhode Island lead statutes and coordination with inspectors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies. Successful completion qualifies participants to apply for Rhode Island Lead Contractor licensure after passing a state examination.
