Key Findings, 2019

  • The percent of middle school students who have ever had sex decreased by 55% from 2009 to 2019.
  • In 2019, approximately 1 in 3 (32%) high school students were currently sexually active an increase from 1 in 4 (26%) in 2015.
  • Approximately 55% of sexually active high school students used a condom when they last had sex a significant decrease from 68% in 2013.
