Adolescent and School Health Program

What we do

  • Developed an Adolescent Health Strategic Plan.
  • Sponsor School-Based Health Centers.
  • Increase the number of middle and high school students connected to positive youth development (PYD) programs.
  • Increase number of adolescents ages 12-17 who receive teen pregnancy prevention and positive youth development programming through the Teen Outreach Program(TOP).
  • Support Health Equity Zones with best practice, training, TA, and funding to implement substance use prevention strategies.

Services

Teen Outreach Program ®

A RIDOH service that provides caring, highly trained adult facilitators to guide students through a unique combination of engaging curriculum and experiential community service that helps teens build strengths and hone social emotional skills proven to bolster success later in life.
