Work Safer RI- Health & Safety Consultation Program
Mission
To provide a free and confidential health & safety consultation service to assist small business owners throughout Rhode Island promote a culture of safety within the workplace. Each visit is performed by a RIDOH safety and health Industrial Hygienist at the request of any Rhode Island employer. The results of this free service remain 100% confidential and result in no monetary fines, citations, or penalties!
To be eligible for the Work Safer RI services, you must be:
- a Rhode Island business
- privately owned
- have no more than 250 employees at one site and fewer than 500 nationwide
What we do

Perform air and noise sampling.

Conduct a walk-through inspection of your facility, either partial or comprehensive as requested by the employer, to help recognize potential hazards in the workplace.

Deliver a detailed written report of the findings.

Suggest solutions to existing safety or health challenges.

Offer program templates of OSHA-mandated written programs and standards.
