Mission

To ensure the safety of food sold in Rhode Island.

What we do

  • Approve applications for new food markets, food vendors and other retail food operations.
  • Inspect all food retail establishments to ensure food safety.
  • Review plans for new construction or establishment renovations that pertain to food preparation.
